Come on in
Take a deeper wander through the Villekulla world.
This is where all the art gathers — the loud ones, the soft ones, the ones that surprised even me.
Some are still looking for their forever wall. Maybe yours?
Layers of Becoming
Greens slipping into blues, petals carved from purples, tiny sparks of yellow — thick strokes built, scraped back, built again.
Some stories aren’t told. They’re constructed.
Layer by layer.
Add. Erase. Begin again.
Between Seasons
Soft blues, deep greens, and quiet golds — a moment suspended between what has been and what’s yet to come.
The year leaves its traces here: the push and pull, the laughter, the letting go, the resting.
Every layer carries a story, a reminder that even in stillness, life keeps moving underneath.
After the Storm
Warm yellow, cobalt blue, and deep magenta — finding their own rhythm, like rain meeting sunlight.
It’s that moment right after a heavy storm.
When the wind has quieted, the clouds begin to drift, and the sun pushes through —
illuminating everything it touches.
Soft Landing
Lavender, ochre, soft yellows, and dusty purples — layered in shifting textures that ripple like fabric.
I began this painting by playing with a new colour palette, curious where it might lead me. But when I stepped back, I realised it reminded me of the patterned carpet of a dear friend.
A carpet isn’t just decoration. It’s grounding. A soft place to land. A surface that quietly holds the rhythms of daily life.
And that’s what this piece has become for me: a reflection on friendship.
Joyful Detour
Light pink, deep magenta, bold orange, copper strokes — and a whisper of daring.
It began as morning softness: lavender clouds drifting, a quiet sky.
But the canvas had other plans.
It demanded colour, then more colour.
What started as a backdrop became something louder, messier, more alive.
Winding Night Sky
Deep blues broken by trails of gold — a night that doesn’t just fall, but curves and bends.
The surface ripples with movement: sand pressed into lines that spiral like echoes, textures that shift between calm depth and restless sparks. It’s both sky and path — a map of dreams winding their way forward.
Horizon of Thoughts
Blues, greens, flashes of orange — a horizon shifting between soft and rough, still and moving.
This piece is a horizon of perspective: where thoughts rise like waves, some bubbling up and floating away, others lingering long enough to root. The horizon can hold both quiet and brightness — memories that echo, and possibilities that glow.
Whirl Into Quiet
Blue like ocean depths. Sand-textured like sun-warmed shores.
“Portal to Quiet” carries the hush of a beach before the world wakes — the soft swirl of salt air and spaciousness.
